Alexandra Dodds is a contemporary jewellery designer fascinated with the geometries, shapes and textures of the natural world. Her work features organic and fluid forms, intricate textures and precious gemstones sourced responsibly in Australia.
Alexandra Dodds is a New Zealand jewellery designer currently based in Sydney, Australia. Originally self-taught in jewellery, she has refined her practice through extensive experimentation and further training in metalsmithing, casting and stone setting - utilising traditional techniques in a contemporary way. Her fascination with the geometries, shapes and textures of the natural world combined with her experimental artistry, has led her to create a collection of precious jewels.
Alexandra’s work feels organic in form, featuring intricate textures and beautiful fluidity. Each piece is made to order in limited editions; designed, sculpted and finished by hand in her Chippendale studio. Her work is primarily made from recycled metals, Australian sourced gemstones, and fair trade Australian diamonds which are often traceable back to the mine they were sourced from.
KAUKAU offers a range from Alexandra Dodd’s core collection and facilitates custom pieces. Please be in touch if you would like to enquire about this process.
