A cushion for the floor by Purple Island ~

Inspired by the Japanese toy bean bag Ojami, the Island cushion is designed with a thoughtful sense of proportion. A sculptural form that provides relief and a gentle nudge for a moment. Use as a touchstone to your meditation practice or simply as a cushion for the floor.

Filled with non-allergenic organic buckwheat hulls to assist in a supported and comfy seat. Ideal floor seating for long periods of time.

Purple Island is a practice exploring elements of textile and sculpture within everyday products. Based in Te Whanganui-a-Tara, each piece is made with the intention of being useful, functional and beautiful.
