With the world increasingly at an end with the outdated fashion system, Mina is at the forefront of paving a new model in Aotearoa New Zealand. Designs consider collections not just for a season but for years to come. Instilling a model of limited capsules released throughout the year, Mina produces with a slower, more conscious cycle. Central to the Mina model is the notion of meaningful and respectful relationships with their community of makers in Tāmaki Makaurau, Auckland.
Their ethos is also imbued through sourcing pure fabrics that are gentle on the earth and that support local suppliers. Often this means using dead-stock fabrics that are surplus from large fashions houses, this not only repurposes the fabrics but creates special limited garments for their customers. Mina is a forward thinking label taking a new stance for their community and the environment.
